This cause is personal to me.
I’m raising funds for the Donna M. Saunders Foundation to support the fight against breast cancer — from early detection and research to treatment and support for patients and their families.
But I also want to recognize a group that sometimes gets overlooked: previvors — women who learn they carry a genetic mutation such as BRCA1 or BRCA2 and make the incredibly difficult decision to undergo a preventive mastectomy in hopes of never having to hear the words, “You have breast cancer.”
Whether you are fighting breast cancer, survived it, lost someone to it, love someone going through it, or made the decision to take preventive action because of your genetic risk — this fight includes you.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps. Every dollar moves us closer to better detection, better treatments, more support, and hopefully one day, a cure.
